Leg tubes are in 6X carbon fibre with Gitzo's efficient G-locks. The GT5562GTS is a Gitzo Series 5 tripod designed not only for height, but also for strength and torsional rigidity under extreme loads of up to 40kg (88lb) and with lenses up to 800mm. With 6-section legs fully open, it reaches overhead level even without using a centre column, but it can also be splayed close to ground level thanks to its independent leg angle settings. For such a tall tripod, it is light in weight and compact when folded.
