The EVF Tri-Mount Kit includes three different mounting options. It includes a complete
EVF Standard Mount, an extension rod for shooting on a tripod or dolly, and the necessary additional piece to create a
EVF quick release hotshoe mount.
The
EVF Standard Mount slides into the side port of Zacuto
DSLR Baseplate,
Studio Baseplate for Canon C100/300/500, or
Epic/Scarlet Baseplate and tightens with an Allen key. It includes a quick release for the EVF, an adjustable pan and tilt mount, and a
Z-mount Zwivel at the corner for additional customization.
The extension rod screws into the pan and tilt portion of the mount. It is a 7in male/female rod. A quick adjustment of the
Z-mount Zwivel and you can slide the EVF an additional 7in closer to your eye. This is particularly helpful when working on a tripod.
The hotshoe quick release is actually made of three parts. The hotshoe mount included with all EVF units, the Zicro Mini that is part of the EVF Standard Mount in this kit, and the third part of the ‘Tri,’ a
ZUD ¼” 20. The hotshoe mount and Zud stay attached on your camera. When moving the EVF from the standard mount to the hotshoe, flip the red lever on the Zicro Mini to release it, and move over to the Zud to tighten onto the hotshoe.
